This is the money we have.   They change the way it looks throughout the years so you may still see other versions.  The penny is copper colored.  It’s size is actually larger than a dime which confuses children because it’s worth less.   The nickel is bigger than the dime.  Money in Monroe

I loved reading about Kanga and Roo – they seem to be having a great time! we sent Trev the kiwi overseas last year and he is still travelling! I would love to see what your money looks like.     Money in Monroe, NC, USA—They have put some color on bills compared to old ones that were green/white. Old term green backs.
    On one dollar bill, the first U.S. President George Washington was painted by Gilbert Stuart. It’s interesting to know that generally the life of a $1 bill is 22 months. Also, 45% of all currency produced is the one dollar.

    President on penny / cent is Abraham Lincoln.
    Value of one penny is $0.01 or 1/100th of one dollar. It takes 100 of these to make $1.00.
    . President on Nickel is Thomas Jefferson.
    Value of one nickel is $0.05 or 5 cents or 5 pennies or 1/20th of a dollar.
    President on Dime is Franklin D. Roosevelt or FDR.
    Value of one dime is $0.10 or 10 cents or 10 pennies or 2 nickels or 1/10th of a dollar.
    President on Quarter is George Washington.
    Value of one quarter is $0.25 or 1/4th of a dollar.

    President on Half-Dollar is JFK – John F. Kennedy
    Value of one half-dollar is $0.50 or 50 cents or 50 pennies or 10 nickels or 2 quarters.
    John F. Kennedy or JFK is not used on US paper
